Nigerian singer Chinedu Okoli, popularly known as Flavour, has recounted a humiliating experience from the early stage of his music career when he was allegedly chased off stage because the audience wanted to see the popular music duo P-Square perform.
Flavour said the incident happened at a time when P-Square had already established themselves as major stars in the Nigerian music industry. According to him, the crowd’s excitement over the duo overshadowed his own performance, leaving him in an uncomfortable situation on stage.
The singer recalled that he was performing when the audience began demanding that P-Square take over the stage. The situation reportedly became so intense that he was forced to leave the stage.
Despite the embarrassment, Flavour said the experience became part of his journey in the Nigerian entertainment industry. He has since gone on to establish himself as one of the country’s most successful highlife and Afrobeats singers, with several hit songs and international performances.
