The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has commenced its 2026 nationwide recruitment exercise, inviting qualified Nigerians to apply for various entry-level positions across Grade Levels 07, 08, 09, 10 and 12. The commission announced that applications must be submitted through its official online recruitment portal within the stipulated application period.
According to INEC, interested applicants are required to create an account on the recruitment portal, complete the online application form, upload the necessary credentials and submit their applications before the deadline. The commission advised candidates to apply only through its official platform and warned the public to disregard fraudulent websites or individuals demanding payment for employment opportunities.
Applicants must possess the qualifications specified for their preferred positions and provide valid means of identification, educational certificates and other supporting documents as required. INEC stressed that only candidates who meet the advertised requirements will be shortlisted for the next stage of the recruitment process.
The commission stated that the application portal opened on July 20, 2026, and will close on July 27, 2026, urging interested Nigerians to submit their applications early to avoid last-minute technical issues. INEC also reiterated its commitment to conducting a transparent, merit-based recruitment process in line with the principles of fairness and equal opportunity.
To apply, candidates should visit the official INEC recruitment portal, create an account, select a suitable position, complete the required information and submit their application online. The commission emphasized that the recruitment exercise is free of charge and advised applicants to rely only on official INEC communication for updates regarding the exercise.
