Indian authorities have arrested three Nigerian nationals over their alleged involvement in an international drug trafficking syndicate during separate operations in Bengaluru, Karnataka. The arrests were carried out by the Anti-Narcotic Wing of the Central Crime Branch (CCB) following intelligence-led raids.
The suspects were identified as Ambemo Victor (37), Chime Moses (36), and Karikari Ames (33). According to investigators, they allegedly entered India on medical and tourist visas before becoming involved in the illicit drug trade. Police said the suspects obtained narcotics from another Nigerian based in New Delhi before distributing them in Bengaluru.
During the operation, officers reportedly seized 10.27 kilograms of MDMA crystals and 2.044 kilograms of hydroponic cannabis, with the total street value estimated at about ₹23 crore (approximately ₦4.2 billion). A fourth suspect, an Indian national, was also arrested in connection with the case.
Police said investigations are ongoing to identify other members of the alleged drug network and trace its international supply chain. The suspects are expected to face prosecution under India’s anti-narcotics laws
