Kwara State Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq has rewarded two outstanding graduates of the Nigerian Law School, Muftau Adebayo and Hameedat Adebayo, with ₦5 million each and fully funded overseas postgraduate scholarships in recognition of their exceptional academic achievements. The governor announced the rewards during a reception held in their honour at the Government House in Ilorin.
The two graduates emerged among the Best Graduating Students at the 2025/2026 Nigerian Law School Call to Bar ceremony, bringing national recognition to Kwara State through their outstanding performances. Governor AbdulRazaq described their success as a source of pride for the state and an inspiration to young people striving for academic excellence.
In addition to the cash gifts, the governor approved fully funded scholarships to enable both graduates pursue postgraduate studies at internationally recognised universities. He said the initiative reflects his administration’s commitment to investing in education, human capital development and the nurturing of exceptional talent capable of contributing to national development.
AbdulRazaq encouraged students across the state to remain focused and disciplined in their studies, assuring them that hard work and excellence would always be recognised and rewarded. He noted that his administration would continue implementing policies aimed at improving access to quality education and creating opportunities for young people to excel both locally and internationally.
The beneficiaries expressed gratitude to the governor for the recognition and support, describing the scholarships as life-changing opportunities that would help them advance their legal careers. They also pledged to uphold the values of excellence and use the opportunity to make meaningful contributions to the legal profession and the development of Kwara State and Nigeria.
