Yemen’s Houthi movement has claimed responsibility for a missile attack targeting Saudi Arabia, marking another escalation in the widening regional conflict involving Iran, the United States and their allies. The group said it launched a hypersonic ballistic missile at a strategic military installation in Riyadh, describing the strike as part of its support for Iran amid the ongoing hostilities.
According to Houthi military spokesperson Yahya Saree, the missile successfully reached its intended target, though Saudi authorities have not confirmed the claim. The Saudi government has yet to issue an official statement on the reported attack, and independent verification of the strike remains unavailable.
The reported attack comes as tensions continue to rise across the Middle East following recent exchanges between Iran and the United States, including strikes on military installations and critical infrastructure.
