Nigerian Afrobeats star Ayra Starr has made her first on-screen appearance in Hollywood following the release of the first teaser for Paramount Pictures’ highly anticipated fantasy film, Children of Blood and Bone. The teaser offers fans their first glimpse of the Grammy-nominated singer in character, marking a major milestone in her transition from music to acting.
The teaser, released by acclaimed director Gina Prince-Bythewood, showcases behind-the-scenes footage from the production while building anticipation for the film’s official trailer. Although Ayra Starr appears only briefly, her appearance has generated excitement among fans eager to see her acting debut in the adaptation of Tomi Adeyemi’s bestselling fantasy novel inspired by West African mythology.
Children of Blood and Bone boasts an impressive international cast featuring Thuso Mbedu, Viola Davis, Idris Elba, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Regina King, Cynthia Erivo, Damson Idris, Lashana Lynch, Richard Mofe-Damijo, alongside Ayra Starr.
