The leader of the INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, Primate Elijah Ayodele, has warned that bandits may attempt to block the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway in July or August, urging security agencies to take proactive measures to prevent any such attack.
Speaking during a church service on Sunday, Ayodele said he foresaw a security threat along the busy highway, although he did not specify an exact date. A video of his remarks was later shared on his official TikTok account.
The cleric said:
“Lagos-Ibadan Express Road. July/August, I do not know the precise time. Bandits will block the road. So the security agencies should note this.”
Ayodele’s warning comes amid heightened concerns over insecurity and kidnappings in parts of the South-West. However, there is currently no official intelligence or confirmation from security agencies that such an attack is planned. As of the time of reporting, neither the Nigeria Police Force nor the Federal Government had issued a security advisory in response to the prediction
