The Ondo State Police Command has arrested a housewife, Moradeke Alabi, over allegations that she physically assaulted her husband, Oluwole Alabi, during a domestic dispute in Akure, the state capital.
According to police reports, the incident occurred after an argument between the couple reportedly escalated into violence. The husband alleged that he sustained injuries during the altercation and subsequently reported the matter to the police.
Police spokesperson DSP Olayinka Ayanlade confirmed the arrest and said the suspect was taken into custody while investigations continue. He noted that the command treats all cases of domestic violence seriously, regardless of the gender of those involved.
The police stated that both parties have provided statements and that the case is being investigated to establish the full circumstances surrounding the incident. Authorities added that appropriate legal action would be taken based on the outcome of the investigation.
