The Nigeria Police Force has arrested a 62-year-old suspect over an alleged ₦130 million fraud, recovering luxury vehicles valued at about ₦520 million.
According to police authorities, the suspect was apprehended following an investigation into fraudulent financial activities, where he allegedly obtained large sums of money under false pretences.
During the operation, officers reportedly recovered:
- Multiple high-end luxury cars
- Assets believed to be proceeds of the alleged fraud
The police stated that the vehicles, estimated at ₦520 million, were seized as part of efforts to trace and recover illicitly acquired property.
Investigators say the suspect is currently in custody and will be charged to court upon conclusion of investigations.
The arrest highlights ongoing efforts by law enforcement to crack down on financial crimes and asset laundering, particularly involving large-scale fraud.
