The Ekiti State Police Command has commenced an investigation into the disappearance of 19-year-old Dandam Happiness, who has been missing since August 10, 2026.
The Police Public Relations Officer, SP Sunday Abutu, disclosed this in a statement issued in Ado Ekiti on Monday. He said Happiness left her residence in Ado Ekiti at about 4pm on August 10, heading to an unknown destination, but has not returned since then.
According to the police, efforts by Happiness’ relatives and friends to locate her have so far been unsuccessful, prompting the command to begin an investigation aimed at establishing her whereabouts and ensuring her safe return.
The police described Happiness as approximately 4.5 feet tall and fair in complexion. She reportedly has no tribal marks and speaks English fluently.
Abutu appealed to members of the public who may have information about the missing woman to come forward and assist the police in locating her.
He urged anyone with useful information to report to the nearest police station or contact the police on +2349064050086.
The command also appealed to residents to share information about Happiness widely, stressing that information from the public could help investigators establish what happened after she left her home.
At the time of the report, police had not disclosed any evidence indicating whether the young woman was abducted, voluntarily left her residence or encountered any other circumstances that prevented her from returning home. The investigation is ongoing.
