The kidnappers holding pupils and teachers abducted from a school in Oyo State have reportedly demanded a ₦100 million ransom, along with food supplies, before releasing the victims. The demand was relayed to families and community leaders after contact was established with the abductors.
According to reports, the kidnappers specifically requested:
- ₦100 million ransom
- Bags of rice and other food items
- Additional logistics support for the captives’ upkeep in the forest
The demand has sparked outrage among parents and residents. Some parents reportedly rejected offers of rice and cash donations from sympathizers and instead insisted that all efforts should focus on securing the safe release of the children and teachers.
