Nigerian TikTok streamer Habeeb Hamzat, popularly known as Peller, has reacted angrily to comments made by rapper Ycee (Oludemilade Martin Alejo) about education and “illiteracy” in the entertainment space.
The controversy started after Ycee, during a podcast interview, reportedly criticised what he described as the growing “celebration of ignorance” in society, using Peller’s name as an example while discussing the trend.
Reacting in a now-viral response, Peller dismissed the rapper’s remarks and fired back, calling him a “very anyhow OG” and accusing him of disrespecting him publicly. He insisted that Ycee had no right to use his name while making general points about education and intelligence.
Peller also escalated the exchange by directly calling the rapper “an illiterate,” a comment that has since triggered mixed reactions online, with fans divided over who was right in the argument.
Ycee’s original statement had sparked debate on social media, with many users interpreting his comments as a broader critique of declining educational values in society, while others felt it unfairly targeted individuals like Peller.
The clash has since trended across platforms, adding to ongoing conversations about fame, education, and influence in Nigeria’s entertainment space
