The Lagos State Police Command has launched an investigation into fresh cases of suspected cult-related killings recorded in different parts of the state, including Sangotedo, Ajah, and Ikotun.

According to police spokesperson SP Abimbola Adebisi, the command is aware of the incidents and has begun efforts to determine the circumstances surrounding the deaths of the victims, who were allegedly attacked by rival cult groups.

Reports indicate that two people were killed in separate cult-related attacks, sparking fear among residents in the affected communities. The police confirmed that officers have been deployed to the areas to maintain order and prevent further violence.

Authorities also said no arrests have been made yet, but investigations are ongoing to track down those responsible and curb rising cult activities in parts of Lagos.

The incidents add to ongoing concerns about cult violence in Lagos, which has seen recurring clashes in recent years, often leading to deaths, injuries, and heightened tension in affected neighbourhoods.

Police have urged residents to remain calm and provide useful information that could assist ongoing investigations.
