Operatives of the Lagos State Police Command have arrested a 21-year-old man, Samson Onilewaji, after he was allegedly found in possession of a suspected human body part during a routine stop-and-search operation along the Lekki-Epe Expressway.

According to the command’s spokesperson, SP Abimbola Adebisi, officers intercepted an unregistered commercial shuttle bus carrying six occupants. A search allegedly led to the recovery of a suspected human right hand, two locally made pistols, one live cartridge, two axes, a Point-of-Sale (POS) terminal, and five ATM cards from the suspect.

The police said the suspect was immediately taken into custody, while the other occupants of the vehicle are also being questioned as investigations continue. Authorities are working to determine the origin of the suspected human body part and whether the suspect is linked to other criminal activities.

The Lagos State Police Command said the arrest is part of its intensified stop-and-search operations aimed at tackling armed robbery, illegal firearms, and other violent crimes across the state. The recovered exhibits have been secured as investigations continue.
