The Israeli military has announced that one of its soldiers was killed during fighting in southern Lebanon, amid continued clashes between Israeli forces and the Lebanese armed group Hezbollah.
According to the Israel Defense Forces (IDF), the soldier died during an operational mission near the Israel–Lebanon border. Military authorities said the family of the deceased had been notified, while further details about the circumstances of the incident were being investigated.
The death comes as hostilities continue in southern Lebanon despite ongoing international efforts to prevent a wider regional conflict. Exchanges of fire between Israeli forces and Hezbollah have persisted along the border area, with both sides reporting casualties and damage.
