The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has declared Barrister Danladi Halilu Envulu-Anza of the All Progressives Congress (APC) as the winner of the Nasarawa North Senatorial District by-election held on Saturday.
Announcing the result at the collation centre in Akwanga, Nasarawa State, the Returning Officer, Professor Aminu Ali, said Envulu-Anza polled a total of 45,362 votes to defeat his closest rivals.
According to the final tally announced by INEC:
- Labaran Maku (Labour Party) came second with 12,931 votes
- David Emmanuel Ombugadu (PDP) scored 11,331 votes
The electoral body said the APC candidate satisfied all legal requirements and secured the highest number of valid votes cast, making him duly elected as senator for Nasarawa North.
