Master Chimkamnayo Olisaemeka, a teenager rescued from severe abuse and neglect in 2022 through the intervention of Anambra State First Lady, Nonye Soludo, is now preparing to begin university education after completing a remarkable rehabilitation journey.

Mrs. Soludo disclosed that Chimkamnayo has remained under her care since his rescue, receiving medical treatment, educational support, guidance, and emotional rehabilitation. She described his transformation as a story of hope, resilience, and triumph over adversity.

According to her, the teenager was rescued in July 2022 after suffering severe abuse at the hands of his uncle and the man’s wife. At the time, his condition sparked widespread concern across Anambra State and beyond.

Announcing the latest milestone, Mrs. Soludo said Chimkamnayo is now set to enter university and reaffirmed her commitment to sponsoring his education to any level he wishes to attain. She stressed that a child’s difficult circumstances should never determine their future.

She also noted that the young man has expressed a desire to reconnect with his biological parents. However, she assured that the Anambra State Government would continue to monitor his welfare and provide necessary support and protection throughout the process.

Mrs. Soludo said Chimkamnayo’s story demonstrates that with love, protection, encouragement, and the right support system, children can recover from trauma and pursue their dreams
