Swedish top-flight club Djurgårdens IF have completed the signing of Nigerian youngster Ibrahim Adediran from Nigerian academy side Box2Box FC, according to reports from Sweden and Nigeria. The highly rated teenager has agreed a long-term deal after impressing during trials with the Stockholm-based club.
Djurgården described Adediran as a promising attacking player with significant development potential and said the move aligns with the club’s strategy of recruiting young talent from emerging football markets. The player is expected to begin with the club’s development setup while working toward a place in the senior squad.
Adediran becomes the latest Nigerian prospect to move to Europe, continuing a trend that has seen several young Nigerian players join Scandinavian clubs before progressing to larger European leagues.
Club officials expressed confidence that the youngster can adapt quickly to Swedish football and develop into a key player in the future
