The Adamawa State Commissioner for Agriculture, Professor David Jatau, has died after a brief illness.
According to reports, Jatau passed away in Abuja on Friday, June 26, 2026. He was widely regarded as a distinguished academic and public servant who played a key role in driving agricultural development and food security initiatives in Adamawa State.
During his time in office, Professor Jatau spearheaded several programmes aimed at boosting agricultural productivity, empowering farmers, and attracting investment into the state’s agricultural sector.
