Boluwatife Balogun, popularly known as Champz and the first son of Nigerian music star Wizkid, has received widespread praise online after delivering a confident speech at a TEDx event held in Lagos.
The event, TEDxGrange School Lagos, was organised as part of a Children’s Day programme themed “The Edge of Possible,” where students spoke on topics including confidence, creativity, resilience, and personal growth.
In a video that has since gone viral on social media, Champz was seen addressing an audience with poise and composure while speaking about overcoming fear, self-belief, and determination.
During the speech, the teenager reflected on nervousness before stepping on stage and encouraged young people to remain persistent despite setbacks, stressing that success often requires patience and resilience.
Many social media users praised his confidence, stage presence, and clarity of thought, with several commenters describing his delivery as impressive for someone his age.
The moment has further increased public attention on Champz, who has recently begun building a music career of his own. He released his debut EP, Champion’s Arrival, in late 2025 and has continued releasing new music in 2026.
Observers have noted that the teenager’s growing visibility, confidence, and artistic ambitions are drawing comparisons with other second-generation figures in Nigeria’s entertainment industry.
The viral TEDx appearance has continued to trend online, with many fans describing it as one of Champz’s most notable public moments so far.
