Bundesliga side Bayer Leverkusen are reportedly willing to listen to offers worth between €30 million and €35 million for Nigerian-eligible midfielder Francis Onyeka amid growing transfer interest from clubs in Germany and the Premier League.
According to reports from Germany cited by PUNCH Sports Extra, Leverkusen are taking a “careful and strategic” approach regarding the future of the 19-year-old attacking midfielder after his impressive loan spell with VfL Bochum.
The club reportedly still considers Onyeka part of its long-term plans and previously extended his contract until 2028 before sending him out on loan for first-team experience. However, Leverkusen may approve a transfer if a substantial bid arrives this summer.
Among the clubs linked with the youngster are:
- RB Leipzig
- Schalke 04
- Several unnamed Premier League clubs.
Reports suggest RB Leipzig are preparing a package worth around €25 million plus bonuses, while Premier League clubs including Tottenham, Aston Villa, Brighton, and Leeds United have also monitored the player’s development.
Born in Germany to a Nigerian father, Onyeka remains eligible to represent the Nigeria national football team despite featuring for Germany at youth level. He previously played during Germany’s qualification campaign for the 2024 UEFA European Under-17 Championship.
The teenager enjoyed a breakthrough 2025/26 season at Bochum, attracting praise for his creativity, physicality, and versatility in attacking midfield.
