Former Big Brother Naija winner Phyna has publicly accused social media critic VeryDarkMan (VDM) of allegedly turning against her after she rejected his sexual advances during the period surrounding her late sister’s case.

The reality TV star made the allegation in a series of emotional social media posts and videos while reflecting on the controversy linked to the death of her younger sister, Ruth Otabor, who reportedly died following an accident involving a truck linked to Dangote Cement.

According to Phyna, she initially respected and trusted VeryDarkMan because of his public activism, but their relationship allegedly deteriorated after she turned down his romantic or sexual advances.

“He wanted to sleep with me,” Phyna claimed during the online outburst, alleging that the fallout contributed to what she described as a campaign to paint her negatively on social media during her family’s difficult period.

Phyna also accused the activist of spreading false narratives about her, including claims that she demanded ₦1 billion in compensation during the controversy surrounding her sister’s death.

The entertainer insisted she never made such demands and expressed disappointment over the way the situation unfolded, saying she felt betrayed by someone she once admired.

In response to the allegations, VeryDarkMan denied wrongdoing and challenged Phyna to release evidence supporting her claims. In a reaction video circulating online, he stated that both of them were adults and dismissed some of the accusations made against him.

The controversy has since generated massive reactions across Nigerian social media, with supporters of both personalities debating the allegations and sharing differing opinions online.

The dispute adds to the growing list of public controversies involving VeryDarkMan, whose activism and online confrontations have repeatedly sparked national conversations and divided public opinion.
