Canadian rap superstar Drake has once again taken over the global music scene after releasing three albums simultaneously and breaking multiple Spotify streaming records within 24 hours.
On May 15, the rapper surprised fans with the release of Iceman, alongside two companion projects titled Habibti and Maid of Honour. The ambitious drop featured a combined 43 tracks spanning nearly two and a half hours of music.
According to Spotify, Drake became the platform’s most-streamed artist in a single day for 2026 following the release. His lead project, Iceman, also secured the biggest single-day album streams of the year, while the opening track, “Make Them Cry,” became the most-streamed song in a single day on the platform in 2026.
Reports indicate that Iceman generated around 140 million streams on its first full day, making it one of the strongest album debuts of the year.
The triple-album rollout immediately dominated social media conversations worldwide. Fans, chart analysts, and celebrities flooded platforms with reactions, memes, and streaming statistics as all three albums quickly climbed to the top of Apple Music and iTunes charts in multiple countries.
The release also sparked headlines after the official White House social media account shared Drake’s iced-themed album artwork with the caption “ICED OUT,” a move that quickly went viral online. Several sports franchises and entertainment pages also joined the promotional frenzy surrounding the release.
Beyond the streaming numbers, the albums have fueled renewed discussions about Drake’s dominance in the streaming era and his long-running rivalry with Kendrick Lamar. Some tracks reportedly reference the aftermath of their widely publicized rap feud from 2024.
The projects also feature collaborations with artists including Future, 21 Savage, and Sexyy Red.
With Iceman, Habibti, and Maid of Honour, Drake has once again reinforced his status as one of the most commercially powerful artists of his generation, proving that his influence extends far beyond music into pop culture and internet conversation.
