Nollywood actress Dayo Amusa has spoken out strongly against what she described as deception and financial exploitation in Nigerian politics, expressing frustration over how political processes are often conducted.
In a recent statement, the actress criticised the level of dishonesty she believes exists among politicians, saying many aspirants are misled with false assurances during political engagements, only to be abandoned when decisions are finally made behind closed doors.
She also condemned what she called the financial drain placed on political hopefuls, alleging that individuals are often encouraged to spend heavily during campaigns or consultations without any real intention of rewarding them with party tickets or support.
According to her, the political system has become increasingly manipulative, with promises that rarely translate into real opportunities, leaving many participants disappointed after investing time, money, and loyalty.
Dayo Amusa further questioned the sincerity of political leaders, suggesting that some of their actions are intentionally deceptive and emotionally draining for those trying to participate in the system.
