Veteran Nigerian comedian and entrepreneur Ali Baba has urged Nigerians to intentionally develop and monetise their talents until they become commercially valuable and socially impactful. 


Speaking at the Life Guide Colloquium held in Lagos, Ali Baba said talent alone is not enough without consistent growth, discipline, and strategic development.

He also stressed the importance of recognising and rewarding people who create opportunities and contribute positively to society, noting that appreciation encourages others to make meaningful impact. 


The event also featured brand strategist and leadership expert Jide Adeyemi, who presented his book titled Life Guide: Stories, Lessons and Insights to Empower Your Journey. 


Adeyemi argued that Nigeria’s major challenge is not the absence of capable leaders but the lack of continuity and intentional leadership. He added that despite the country’s challenges, Nigeria still offers massive opportunities for innovation and enterprise.
