Popular Lagos nightlife spot Vaniti Lagos has pushed back strongly against allegations that it served fake or adulterated drinks, describing the claims as false and misleading.

The controversy began after an individual accused the club of selling substandard or fake alcoholic beverages, sparking conversations online. However, the management of Vaniti Lagos has now responded by questioning the credibility and motives of the accuser.

According to the club, the allegations are not only untrue but also damaging to its reputation, insisting that its operations meet required standards and that it does not deal in counterfeit products.

Vaniti further suggested that the claims may have been made in bad faith, urging the public to be cautious about spreading unverified information, especially when it concerns businesses.

The development has added to ongoing concerns in Nigeria about fake alcoholic drinks, a serious public health issue that authorities have repeatedly warned about. However, in this specific case, the club maintains that it has been wrongly accused and is taking steps to defend its name.
