Former President Goodluck Jonathan has met with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu at the Aso Rock Presidential Villa in Abuja, in what is described as part of ongoing high-level consultations involving key national and regional stakeholders.
Jonathan arrived at the Villa on Wednesday for the meeting, which held behind closed doors. Details of their discussions were not immediately disclosed by the Presidency.
However, officials confirmed the visit and shared images of both leaders meeting at the Presidential Villa, noting that it forms part of wider engagements on governance, democracy, and regional matters in West Africa.
The meeting continues a pattern of periodic consultations between both leaders, especially as Jonathan, a former Nigerian president, remains actively involved in mediation and election observation roles across the continent.
