At least three people have been killed in a suspected cult clash in Lagos after attending a birthday party.
The incident reportedly occurred in the Lagos Island area, where the victims had gone for a party in the Epetedo axis before the attack.
According to reports, the victims were returning home in the early hours of the morning when they were ambushed by suspected cultists.
- The attackers allegedly hacked three men to death on the spot
- A fourth person who was with them managed to escape
Sources indicate that the attack is linked to rival cult groups, with tensions believed to have started at or around the party before escalating into violence.
Unconfirmed reports also suggest involvement of groups like Aye and Eiye confraternities, pointing to a possible planned ambush after the event.
As of now, the police have yet to issue an official statement on the incident, but investigations are expected to begin as concerns grow over recurring cult-related violence in Lagos.
