Suspected terrorists have killed two people in a roadside bomb explosion, while bandits also carried out a separate attack on miners, highlighting the persistent insecurity in parts of northern Nigeria.
According to reports, the explosion occurred when a vehicle hit an improvised explosive device (IED) planted along a road, killing two occupants instantly and leaving others injured. The attack is believed to have been carried out by террорист elements operating in the area.
In a related development, armed bandits reportedly attacked a mining site, targeting local miners and causing casualties, although the exact number of victims in that incident remains unclear.
The dual incidents have once again raised concerns about the spread of violent attacks, particularly the increasing use of explosives and coordinated assaults on vulnerable groups such as miners and rural commuters.
Security agencies are said to be working to track down those responsible, while residents in affected areas continue to live in fear of further attacks.
