Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has approved the appointment of Dr. Victoria Egunjobi as the new Executive Secretary of the Health Facilities Monitoring and Accreditation Agency (HEFAMAA), in a move aimed at strengthening healthcare regulation in the state.
The appointment was conveyed in an official letter dated April 10, 2026, by the Head of Service, Bode Agoro, and is scheduled to take effect from April 13.
Dr. Egunjobi, a seasoned public health physician with over two decades of experience, previously served as Director of Disease Control at the Lagos State Ministry of Health. In that role, she coordinated interventions across key areas including communicable diseases, maternal and child health, and health system strengthening.
Her professional background also spans health data management, family planning programmes, and gender-based health initiatives, positioning her as a key figure in Lagos State’s public health framework.
The state government expressed confidence in her ability to bring diligence and expertise to the role, particularly in ensuring quality assurance, monitoring, and accreditation of health facilities across Lagos.
