Jadon Sancho has reportedly made a decision on his next destination as he prepares to leave Manchester United at the end of the season.

The England winger, who is currently on loan at Aston Villa, is expected to depart Old Trafford permanently this summer when his contract expires, bringing an end to a difficult spell at the club following his £73 million move from Borussia Dortmund in 2021.

According to reports, Sancho is leaning towards a return to Borussia Dortmund, the club where he enjoyed the best form of his career and initially rose to prominence in Europe. Talks have already taken place between his representatives and the Bundesliga side, with discussions said to include personal terms and a possible free transfer arrangement.

Dortmund are understood to be open to bringing him back for a third spell, especially as they look to strengthen their attacking options ahead of next season. However, final approval is still required from the club’s hierarchy before any deal is completed.

Sancho’s time at Manchester United has been largely underwhelming, with inconsistency, managerial disputes, and loan spells at other clubs marking his stay. His exit now appears inevitable, with United also preparing for a wider squad rebuild in the summer.

If the move materialises, it would mark a return to familiar ground for the 26-year-old, where he previously recorded strong performances and played a key role in domestic and European campaigns.
