Operatives of the Lagos State Police Command have arrested a suspect linked to a job interview scam that targeted unsuspecting job seekers in the Magodo area of the state.The arrest followed a viral video showing victims lamenting how they were invited for what appeared to be a legitimate job interview, only to be robbed of their phones, money, and other valuables at the venue.
According to the police, the case was officially reported on April 9, 2026, after which investigations were launched, leading to the arrest of one suspect now in custody.
Authorities confirmed that efforts are ongoing to apprehend other members of the syndicate believed to have carried out the operation. They also warned members of the public to be cautious when responding to job offers, especially those received through unverified online platforms.
