The founder of Omega Power Ministries, Chibuzor Chinyere, has suspended plans to get his autistic adopted daughter married after receiving an overwhelming number of applications from prospective suitors.
The cleric made the announcement via social media, revealing that over 1,000 men had applied to marry his 21-year-old daughter, prompting him to halt the process.
“More than a thousand applications. No more wedding, pending further directive,” he stated, confirming that the arrangement has been put on hold indefinitely.
The marriage plan had earlier gained widespread attention after the pastor publicly invited suitors and attached several incentives to the proposal. These reportedly included lifetime financial support, free housing, and welfare monitoring by the church to ensure the daughter’s wellbeing.
He also outlined conditions for interested suitors, stating that applicants must be young and physically and mentally fit, as part of efforts to guarantee proper care and stability.
