The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps has deployed 2,250 officers and men across Lagos State to strengthen security during the Easter celebration period.
According to the Lagos State Command, the personnel have been stationed at worship centres, recreation parks, and other strategic locations to ensure the safety of residents and protection of critical infrastructure.
State Commandant Adedotun Keshinro explained that the deployment is part of proactive measures to secure lives, property, and key national assets before, during, and after the festive season.
He added that the command has intensified operational strategies, including intelligence gathering, patrols, and collaboration with other security agencies, to curb criminal activities and prevent vandalism.
The deployment in Lagos forms part of a wider nationwide mobilisation by the NSCDC, which has rolled out thousands of personnel across states to ensure a peaceful and incident-free holiday period.
