The Nigerian DJ Association has announced a temporary ban on songs by Burna Boy, following a reported clash with DJ Tunez at a private event in Lagos.
According to reports, the incident occurred during a private nightclub gathering, where a disagreement between Burna Boy and DJ Tunez allegedly escalated into a physical confrontation, with members of Burna Boy’s team said to be involved before others intervened.
In response, the DJ body issued a statement directing DJs both in Nigeria and abroad to remove Burna Boy’s music from their playlists until further notice.
The association said the move was in solidarity with DJ Tunez and part of efforts to uphold professionalism and respect within the entertainment industry.
It also emphasised that the ban is temporary, noting that a proper investigation will be carried out into the incident before any final decision is made.
As of now, Burna Boy has not publicly responded to the development, while the controversy continues to trend across social media.
