The Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) has expressed optimism about the country’s future, declaring that Nigeria will rise again despite current challenges.

In its Easter message to Nigerians, CAN emphasised that the season of Easter represents hope, sacrifice, and resurrection, urging citizens to remain steadfast in faith and unity. The body noted that, just like the resurrection of Jesus Christ, Nigeria’s struggles will give way to renewal and progress.

CAN acknowledged the economic hardship and security concerns facing the nation but encouraged Nigerians not to lose hope, stressing that difficult times are temporary and can be overcome through collective effort and faith.

The association also called on leaders to govern with justice, compassion, and accountability, while urging citizens to promote peace, tolerance, and national unity across religious and ethnic lines.

Echoing similar sentiments from government officials, the message highlighted Easter as a reminder of resilience and the triumph of light over darkness, encouraging Nigerians to draw strength from the season’s spiritual significance.

CAN further urged Nigerians to use the period to reflect, pray, and work towards a better society, expressing confidence that the country’s challenges will eventually give way to a brighter future.
