The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has carried out follow-up airstrikes on suspected terrorist hideouts in Borno State, as part of ongoing counter-insurgency operations in the North-East.

According to military sources, the airstrikes targeted fleeing insurgents and regrouping elements following earlier operations that had already struck terrorist positions in the area. The latest mission was aimed at preventing the fighters from reorganising or launching further attacks on communities and security formations.

The operation was conducted under Operation Hadin Kai, the joint military campaign against Boko Haram and ISWAP in the North-East, which continues to rely on coordinated air and ground offensives to weaken insurgent networks.

Authorities say the sustained air operations reflect ongoing efforts by the military to maintain pressure on terrorist groups operating in Borno and surrounding areas, where insecurity has persisted for years despite repeated offensives.

The Air Force also reiterated its commitment to intelligence-driven strikes aimed at restoring stability and supporting ground troops engaged in frontline operations.
