President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has reassured Nigerians that his administration remains committed to addressing the country’s growing insecurity and economic hardship, insisting that his government “cares” about the welfare of citizens.

The President made the statement amid rising concerns over persistent attacks in parts of the country and the increasing cost of living, which has placed significant pressure on households. He acknowledged the difficulties many Nigerians are facing but urged citizens to remain patient as his administration continues to implement reforms.

Tinubu emphasised that efforts are ongoing to stabilise the economy and improve security, noting that the government is working with security agencies to tackle terrorism, banditry, and other forms of criminality across affected regions.

He also highlighted steps taken so far, including economic reforms aimed at boosting investment and long-term growth, while admitting that the impact of these policies may take time to be fully felt by citizens.

The President’s remarks come at a time when many Nigerians have continued to express frustration over rising inflation, fuel prices, and insecurity, with calls for more immediate relief measures gaining traction.
