A tragic incident in Ondo State has left residents in shock after a man allegedly killed three children, including his two siblings and his five-year-old daughter, in a violent attack in Okitipupa Local Government Area.
According to reports, the suspect, identified as a 28-year-old man, attacked the victims inside a family residence with a cutlass before fleeing the scene. The victims were later identified as members of the same family, including a five-year-old girl. Police confirmed that the suspect has been arrested and an investigation is ongoing.
Eyewitnesses described the incident as horrifying, saying the attack happened suddenly and left the community in panic before security operatives arrived. The bodies of the victims have been deposited in a morgue for autopsy.
Authorities say preliminary findings suggest the suspect may have been struggling with mental health challenges, but investigations are still ongoing to determine the exact motive behind the killings.
