A fresh industrial crisis is brewing at the Federal Polytechnic, Offa, Kwara State, as tensions rise between the institution’s management and the Academic Staff Union of Polytechnics (ASUP) over unresolved welfare and administrative issues.
Reports indicate that the situation is creating concern within the campus community, with fears that academic activities could be disrupted if urgent steps are not taken to address the grievances raised by staff.
The union is reportedly displeased with certain management decisions and lingering issues affecting staff welfare, which it says have not been adequately addressed despite repeated engagements.
This development comes amid a history of recurring industrial tensions at the institution, including past disputes over governance, welfare matters, and administrative policies that have previously led to disruptions in academic activities.
