China has called for an “immediate halt” to hostilities following renewed escalation in the ongoing conflict involving the United States and Iran, after U.S. President Donald Trump issued fresh threats of intensified military action.

The call comes amid rising global concern after Trump warned of further strikes on Iran’s energy infrastructure if Tehran fails to comply with U.S. demands, signaling a potential escalation in the conflict.

Reacting to the situation, Chinese officials urged all parties to stop military operations and return to dialogue, warning that continued escalation could push the region into a broader and uncontrollable crisis.

China’s position aligns with its broader diplomatic stance since the conflict began

emphasizing negotiation over force and cautioning that military action would only deepen instability. Beijing has consistently stressed that continued fighting threatens global peace, energy security, and economic stability.

The latest developments have already had global repercussions. Oil prices surged sharply following Trump’s remarks, while uncertainty surrounding the Strait of Hormuz a critical global oil route has intensified fears of wider economic disruption.

Despite ongoing diplomatic efforts by multiple countries, there is still no clear ceasefire in sight, with Iran maintaining a defiant stance and the U.S. signaling readiness for further action.
