Global music icon Celine Dion has officially announced her return to the stage, marking a powerful comeback despite her ongoing battle with a rare and incurable illness.
The Grammy-winning singer revealed plans to perform a 10-night concert residency in Paris between September and October 2026. This will be her first major live performance series in about six years, following a long break caused by health challenges.
Dion was diagnosed in 2022 with Stiff Person Syndrome, a debilitating condition that causes severe muscle stiffness, spasms, and can affect mobility and vocal ability. The illness forced her to cancel tours and step away from performing.
Despite there being no known cure, the singer has been undergoing intensive treatment, including physical therapy and vocal training, as she works toward regaining strength.
In announcing her comeback, Dion expressed gratitude to fans for their support during her most difficult moments and shared her determination to return to doing what she loves. Reports say she has resumed singing and is even dancing again as part of her recovery journey.
Her return follows a few emotional public appearances, including a performance at the 2024 Paris Olympics, which hinted at her gradual recovery and reignited hope among fans worldwide.
