A former chairman of Konshisha Local Government Area in Benue State, Hon. Moses Shirsha, has died just four days after the sudden death of his wife, in what many have described as a heartbreaking double tragedy.
According to reports, his wife, Mercy, died unexpectedly on March 25, 2026, despite being reportedly healthy prior to her death.
Shirsha was said to have travelled to his hometown to make burial arrangements for his late wife when he suddenly slumped and died on March 29, 2026.
The tragic development has shocked residents and political associates in the state, with many expressing grief over the couple’s deaths occurring within such a short time frame.
Family sources disclosed that both husband and wife are expected to be buried on the same day, April 10, 2026, in Mbaasuku, Mbator Gaav, Konshisha LGA.
