The All Progressives Congress (APC) has adjusted its timetable for the 2027 general elections, announcing a shift in the dates of its presidential and governorship primaries.

The party disclosed that the presidential primary, earlier scheduled for May 15 and 16, 2026, will now hold on May 23, 2026, while the governorship primary has been moved to May 21, 2026, as part of a revised schedule of activities ahead of the 2027 elections.

According to the APC National Working Committee, the changes were made to align with the Electoral Act 2026 and the timetable issued by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), which also sets the framework for party primaries and campaigns ahead of the general elections.

The party also adjusted other key activities in its electoral calendar, including screening of aspirants, appeals processes, and the staggered conduct of primaries for various political offices such as the National Assembly and State Houses of Assembly.
