The Nigerian music scene has been thrown into mourning following the shocking killing of fast-rising singer Sabi, known for his hit track “Show Your Style.”
Reports indicate that the artist whose real name is Sabinus Chukwuebuka Nelson Obi was shot dead by unidentified gunmen at a hotel in Lagos.
According to details shared by his younger brother, the attack happened at night when a group of armed men reportedly stormed the hotel premises and opened fire, killing the singer.
Sabi, who hailed from Anambra State, gained recognition in the Afro-pop scene with his energetic and catchy sound. His song “Show Your Style” helped him build a growing fanbase, even earning a remix collaboration with Oritse Femi.
As of now, the motive behind the attack remains unclear, and there has been no confirmed report of arrests linked to the incident.
