A powerful rainstorm has wreaked havoc at the country residence of former Abia State governor, Orji Uzor Kalu, leaving parts of the property badly damaged.

The incident occurred at his multi-million naira estate, Camp Neya, located in Igbere, Bende Local Government Area of Abia State. Reports indicate that the storm tore through sections of the property, destroying buildings and leaving visible structural damage.

The rainstorm, described as intense and accompanied by strong winds, reportedly struck suddenly, catching residents and workers off guard. As the winds intensified, parts of the buildings could not withstand the pressure, leading to the destruction captured in circulating videos.

While no casualties have been reported, the damage is said to be significant, affecting sections of the expansive estate known for its size and luxury.

Incidents like this highlight the growing impact of extreme weather conditions, especially during heavy rainy periods in parts of Nigeria where infrastructure may not always be built to withstand such force.
