Nigerian singer Chike has publicly accused a woman of defrauding him of $20,000, alleging that he was deceived through a business deal that later turned out to be fraudulent.

The music star made the allegation in a series of posts on social media, where he called out a woman identified as Chioma Nneoma Ochibili, claiming she convinced him to invest money in a business venture that never actually existed.

According to Chike, he transferred $20,000 as part of the proposed investment after being told the funds would be used for a business opportunity. However, he later discovered that the venture allegedly did not exist, leading him to believe he had been scammed.

In one of his posts, the singer expressed shock and frustration over the situation, suggesting that he only realised much later that he may have been a victim of fraud. He also alleged that other people might have been deceived in a similar manner.

Chike warned his followers and the general public to be cautious about entering into business deals with individuals they do not fully trust. He urged people to carry out proper verification before committing funds to any investment opportunity.

The singer also hinted that he has begun efforts to recover the money, although it remains unclear whether any formal legal action has been taken in the matter.

The allegation has since sparked conversations on social media, with many fans expressing sympathy for the singer while also highlighting the growing cases of online and investment-related fraud.

As of the time of reporting, the woman named in the allegation has not publicly responded to the claims made by the singer.
