A tragic military helicopter crash in Qatar has left all seven people on board dead, authorities have confirmed.
The helicopter, belonging to the Qatari armed forces, went down in the country’s territorial waters during what officials described as a routine operation or training flight. Initial findings indicate the crash was caused by a technical malfunction.
Among those killed were four Qatari military personnel and three Turkish nationals, including a soldier and two civilians linked to defence operations.
Rescue teams were immediately deployed after the crash. Early reports suggested six fatalities with one person missing, but authorities later confirmed that all seven victims had been recovered and pronounced dead.
The incident comes amid heightened tensions in the Middle East, though officials have not linked the crash directly to ongoing conflicts. Instead, it is currently being treated as an accident pending further investigation into the technical failure.
Investigations are now underway to determine the exact cause of the malfunction, as both Qatari and Turkish authorities continue to assess the circumstances surrounding the crash.
