Russian President Vladimir Putin has issued a stark warning over the ongoing Middle East conflict, describing its trajectory as highly unpredictable with potentially far-reaching global consequences.

Speaking in Moscow, Putin said the situation has become so complex that even countries directly involved in the conflict cannot accurately predict what will happen next.

His comments come amid intensifying hostilities involving Iran, Israel, and the United States conflict that has already expanded beyond isolated strikes into sustained military exchanges across the region.

Putin warned that the consequences could go far beyond the battlefield. According to him, early assessments suggest the crisis could have an impact comparable to the COVID-19 pandemic, disrupting global development, trade, and economic stability.

The concern is not just about war it’s about ripple effects.

The ongoing conflict has already:

  • Disrupted global supply chains
  • Threatened key oil routes like the Strait of Hormuz
  • Increased pressure on energy markets and inflation

Putin stressed that such instability could slow growth across multiple regions, affecting countries far removed from the conflict itself.
