Nollywood actress Faithia Balogun has announced that the burial of her late mother, Gloria Williams, will take place on Saturday, March 7, 2026, following a series of funeral rites this week, the star revealed on her Instagram page and social media platforms.
According to the schedule shared by the family, a wake-keep service will be held on Friday, March 6, followed by the interment and lying-in-state on March 7 at a private ceremony limited to close friends and relatives. A Thanksgiving Mass is also set for Sunday, March 8, at St. Monica Catholic Church.
Balogun described her late mother as her “cheerleader, prayer warrior, best friend and gist partner” in an emotional tribute, expressing gratitude for the overwhelming support and condolences the family has received since her passing shortly before her 55th birthday.
The actress also noted that while the upcoming rites are private, a larger public burial ceremony will be announced at a later date to allow fans, well-wishers and colleagues in the entertainment industry to pay their respects.
